Specialty Item_UPDATE
I have decided to simplify my item. It will just be a gym sack with a water bottle, sweatbands and workout gloves. I feel that it will be strongest this way. I don't want to it to be like Jim said, "It will start to feel like the planets of the apes(I, II, III, etc)...simplify".

UPDATE_Specialty Item
The project has evolved. I will create a starter kit for new members (or existing ones too). It will include the gym sack which will have inside a pair of gloves with a towel. The bag will have a tag that will go along with the kit.
Gloves-will have a ghost image of eclipse logo on them.
Bag-Will have B&W logo version with tag line.
Towel- It will have full color logo (embroider or ink-jet transfer).
Tag- Will include full color logo and have some body text on front (Welcome to Fitness Evolved). It will also have on the other side a space for contact info in case someone loses their bag.

Final Project_Specialty Item
For my specialty item, I will make a gym sack. I am at the moment still designing what it will look like and what features it will have. So far, I have sketched out some ideas and have bought a bag from EastBay that should arrive next week.

Collaborative Book Piece
Title: Physical, Mental and Emotional Fatigue.

In my piece, I wanted to represent a re-occurring nightmare that I have had. In this nightmare, I am constantly being haunted. I fear for my life and am in a state of trance, where everything is out of my control and being taken away from me. In the composition, I use symbols to represent the fatigue of all three aspects of my life in both realms. I am being battered in this nightmare with physical, mental and emotional distress hence the name for the piece. Lastly, I wanted to represent these elements with a sketchy look to it. Consequently, I drew every symbol and just pulled the background texture from a wall in my backyard. As a result, The finished image represents the disturbing darkness and tension of my nightmare.

Ad Spread Update
The spread will consist of two ideas tied into one. They will be connected with the tag 'to be or not to be'. One panel will represent the benefits of fitness while the other will do the contrary. One will say 'i am' and the other will say 'i am not'. Finally, the headline will be 'Maintain the Body. Energize the Spirit'.
Lastly, the composition will consist of a man and a woman, who are members of the gym, and rely on type to unify the spread.

I want to tackle this following project in a very different way. Since it is hard to project what people should get out of their experience at Eclipse,I will focus on what they will not be. I will expand this concept and try to utilize design to communicate what words may not. However, I may use some type but mostly as forms.

Most common competitors in the Atlanta Area are: Gold's Gym, LA Fitness, Just Fitness 4 You, Bally's, Australian Body Works and The Gym of Buckhead.
D. What strengths do they have as a brand?
-They serve the Atlanta Metro Area but focus on their immediate community of Buckhead where they are located.
-Trainers can at the client's request come to them and train clients in the comfort of their own home.
-Their vision is to train individuals with a holistic approach.
-Trainers are very diverse and each one specializes in something unique (Trainers in essence tailor to your needs).

GRD3200 Self_Portrait
The concept of my portrait is the state of being. As of this moment, I am like a Rorschach Test—open to interpretation. I have repeated my profile to show my ambivalence; I am hopeless but hopeful, cheerful but distressed. In short, I am in conflict and in a difficult period in my life. I never thought coming of age would be this challenging.
